حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، وَابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، أَنَّ زِنْبَاعًا أَبَا رَوْحٍ وَجَدَ غُلَامًا لَهُ مَعَ جَارِيَتِهِ، فَقَطَعَ ذَكَرَهُ وَجَدَعَ أَنْفَهُ، فَأَتَى الْعَبْدُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَذَكَرَ ذَلِكَ لَهُ، فَقَالَ لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «مَا حَمَلَكَ عَلَى مَا فَعَلْتَ؟» قَالَ: فَعَلَ كَذَا وَكَذَا، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لِلْعَبْدِ: «اذْهَبْ فَأَنْتَ حُرٌّ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with them both) that Zinba' Abu Rawh found a slave of his with his slave-girl, so he cut off his private organ and cut off his nose. The slave came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and told him (peace and blessings be upon him) what had happened. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to Zinba': "What led you to do this?" He said: He did such and such. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to the slave: "Go, you are free."
حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، أَنَا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، نا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ مُوسَى السُّدِّيُّ، قَالَا، ثنا عَبْدُ السَّلَامِ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي فَرْوَةَ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ رَوْحِ بْنِ زِنْبَاعٍ، أَنَّ جَدَّهُ «أَخَصَّ عَبْدًا لَهُ، فَقَدِمَ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَعْتَقَهُ لِلْمُثَلَّةِ»
Salamah bin Rawh bin Zinba' relates that his grandfather, Sayyiduna Zinba' (may Allah be pleased with him), had castrated a slave of his. Then that slave came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) freed him because of the mutilation (muthlah: the wrong of cutting off limbs).
