Sayyiduna Zayd bin Arqam (may Allah be pleased with him) wrote a letter of condolence to Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him), whose children and family members had been martyred in the event of al-Harrah. In it he wrote: I give you glad tidings from Allah: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "O Allah, forgive the Ansar, and the children of the Ansar, and the children of the children of the Ansar, and the women of the Ansar, and the women of the children of the Ansar, and the women of the children of the children of the Ansar."
