حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُزَيْقِ بْنِ جَامِعٍ الْمَدِينِيُّ الْمِصْرِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ السَّدُوسِيُّ، ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ يَحْيَى الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ، عَنْ مُجَمِّعِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حَارِثَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَمِّي خَالِدَ بْنَ زَيْدٍ الْأَنْصَارِيَّ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: " بَرِيءٌ مِنَ الشُّحِّ: مَنْ أَدَّى الزَّكَاةَ، وَقَرَى الضَّيْفَ، وَأَعْطَى فِي النَّائِبَةِ "
Mujammi' bin Yahya bin Harithah relates: I heard my paternal uncle Khalid bin Zayd al-Ansari (may Allah be pleased with him) say that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever pays the zakah, honours the guest, and gives (to help people) in times of calamity is free from miserliness."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْخَلَّالُ الْمَكِّيُّ، ثنا يَعْقُوبُ بْنُ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ كَاسِبٍ، ثنا فَضَالَةُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ مُجَمِّعٍ، عَنْ مُجَمِّعِ بْنِ يَحْيَى، عَنْ عَمِّهِ خَالِدِ بْنِ زَيْدِ بْنِ جَارِيَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: " ثَلَاثٌ مَنْ كُنَّ فِيهِ وُقِيَ شُحَّ نَفْسِهِ: مَنْ أَدَّى الزَّكَاةَ، وَقَرَى الضَّيْفَ، وَأَعْطَى فِي النَّائِبَةِ "
Mujammi' bin Yahya narrates from his paternal uncle Khalid bin Zayd bin Jariyah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Three things, whoever has them is protected from the miserliness of his own soul: whoever pays the zakah, honours the guest, and gives (in the way of good) in times of calamity."
