It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Jum'ah Habib bin Siba' (may Allah be pleased with him), and he was one of the Companions of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed Maghrib having forgotten the Asr prayer. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said to his Companions: "Did you see me pray Asr?" The Companions said: No, O Messenger of Allah. So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered the mu'adhdhin; he called the adhan, then the iqamah, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed Asr and treated the earlier Maghrib prayer as void, then prayed Maghrib again.
