Sayyiduna al-Bara' bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I met my paternal uncle (Sayyiduna al-Harith bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him)), and he had a banner with him. I asked: Where are you heading? He said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) has sent me to a man who has married his father's wife, and has ordered me to kill him."

Imam al-Tabarani (may Allah have mercy on him) said: Likewise, Ash'ath bin Sawwar and Zayd bin Abi Unaysah narrated it from Adi bin Thabit, from Yazid bin al-Bara', from his father, in which he says: I met my paternal uncle. Al-Suddi differed from them both: he narrated it from Adi bin Thabit, from al-Bara', in which he says: I met my maternal uncle. His maternal uncle was Abu Burdah bin Niyar. And in this narration he did not include Yazid between Adi and al-Bara'.
