حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنَ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ الْمَوْصِلِيُّ، ثنا سَالِمُ بْنُ نُوحٍ، ثنا عُمَرُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ عَامِرٍ الْأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مَاهَكَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عِصْمَةَ أَنَّ حَكِيمَ بْنَ حِزَامٍ قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنِّي أَبِيعُ بُيُوعًا كَثِيرَةً، فَمَا يَحِلُّ لِي مِنْهَا مِمَّا يَحْرُمُ عَلَيَّ؟ فَقَالَ: «لَا تَبِيعَنَّ مَا لَمْ تَقْبِضْ»
Abdullah bin Ismah narrated that Hakim bin Hizam (may Allah be pleased with him) said: O Messenger of Allah! I engage in a great deal of buying and selling; so what of it is lawful for me and what is unlawful? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Never sell what you have not yet taken possession of."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ كَرَامَةَ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ أَبِي كَثِيرٍ، عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ يُوسُفَ بْنِ مَاهَكَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عِصْمَةَ، عَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ حِزَامٍ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنِّي رَجُلٌ أَبْتَاعُ هَذِهِ الْبُيُوعَ وَأَبِيعُهَا، فَمَا يَحِلُّ لِي مِنْهَا، وَمَا يَحْرُمُ عَلَيَّ مِنْهَا؟ قَالَ: «لَا تَبِيعَنَّ شَيْئًا حَتَّى تَقْبِضَهُ»
Abdullah bin Ismah narrated from Hakim bin Hizam (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I said: O Messenger of Allah! I engage in this buying and selling; so what of it is lawful for me and what is unlawful? He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Never sell anything until you have taken possession of it."
