حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، ثنا مُسْلِمُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمُ، حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ أَنَّ حَمْزَةَ بْنَ عَمْرٍو الْأَسْلَمِيَّ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الصَّوْمِ فِي السَّفَرِ، فَقَالَ: «إِنْ شِئْتَ فَصُمْ، وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَأَفْطِرْ»
Sulayman bin Yasar narrates that Hamzah bin Amr al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about fasting while travelling, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you wish, fast; and if you wish, break your fast."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا سَلْمُ بْنُ جُنَادَةَ، ثنا وَكِيعٌ، ثنا هِشَامٌ الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ حَمْزَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الصَّوْمِ فِي السَّفَرِ، فَقَالَ: «أَنْتَ بِالْخِيَارِ، إِنْ شِئْتَ صُمْ، وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَأَفْطِرْ»
Sulayman bin Yasar narrates from Hamzah al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) that he asked the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) about fasting while travelling, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You have the choice: if you wish, fast; and if you wish, break your fast."
حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، ثنا سَعِيدٌ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ أَنَّ حَمْزَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيَّ سَأَلَ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الصَّوْمِ فِي السَّفَرِ، فَقَالَ: «إِنْ شِئْتَ صُمْتَ، وَإِنْ شِئْتَ أَفْطَرْتَ»
Sulayman bin Yasar narrates that Hamzah al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) asked the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) about fasting while travelling, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you wish, you may fast; and if you wish, you may break your fast."
حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ الدِّمْيَاطِيُّ، ثنا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُطَّلِبُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ الْأَزْدِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو صَالِحٍ عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، قَالَا: ثنا اللَّيْثُ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ، ثنا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ، ثنا لَيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ أَنَّ حَمْزَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيَّ قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي أَجِدُ قُوَّةً عَلَى الصِّيَامِ فِي السَّفَرِ. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «إِنْ شِئْتَ فَصُمْ، وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَأَفْطِرْ»
Sulayman bin Yasar narrates that Hamzah al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "O Messenger of Allah, I find strength to fast while travelling." The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "If you wish, fast; and if you wish, break your fast."
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، ثنا ابْنُ مُبَارَكٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ بْنِ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ أَبِي أَنَسٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ حَمْزَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ أَنَّهُ سَأَلَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَنِ الصَّوْمِ فِي السَّفَرِ، فَقَالَ: «إِنْ شِئْتَ فَصُمْ، وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَأَفْطِرْ»

حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بِشْرٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنِ يَسَارٍ، عَنْ حَمْزَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيِّ أَنَّهُ رَأَى رَجُلًا بِمِنًى يَطُوفُ عَلَى جَمَلٍ لَهُ آدَمَ يَقُولُ: «لَا تَصُومُوا هَذِهِ الْأَيَّامَ، فَإِنَّهَا أَيَّامُ أَكْلٍ وَشُرْبٍ» ، وَرَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَيْنَ أَظْهُرِهِمْ
Sulayman bin Yasar narrates from Hamzah al-Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him) that he saw a man at Mina going around on his brownish camel announcing: "Do not fast on these days, for they are days of eating and drinking" while the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was present among the people at that time.
