حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ، ثنا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى زَحْمُوَيْهِ ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، ثنا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ الْحَلَبِيُّ، قَالُوا: ثنا عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ فِي سَاقَيْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حُمُوشَةٌ، وَكَانَ «لَا يَضْحَكُ إِلَّا تَبَسُّمًا، وَكُنْتُ إِذَا نَظَرْتُ إِلَيْهِ قُلْتُ أَكْحَلُ الْعَيْنَيْنِ وَلَيْسَ بِأَكْحَلَ» وَاللَّفْظُ لِحَدِيثِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: There was slenderness in the shins of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) did not laugh except with a smile, and whenever I looked at him I would say: His eyes appear to be lined with kohl, though he (peace and blessings be upon him) had not applied kohl.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، ثنا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْأَوَّلِ، ثنا أَبُو خَالِدٍ الْأَحْمَرُ، عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: «كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَا يَنْبَعِثُ فِي الضَّحِكِ»
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) did not burst out into loud laughter.
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حُصَيْنٍ الْقَاضِي، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ حَجَّاجٍ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ: «أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ خَطَبَ قَائِمًا ثُمَّ قَعَدَ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) delivered the sermon standing, then sat down.
