حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ نَاجِيَةَ، ثنا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْقَطَّانُ، ثنا حَكَّامُ بْنُ سَلْمٍ، عَنْ عَنْبَسَةَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: «لَمْ أَرَ رَسُولَ اللهِ يَوْمًا يَقُومُ مِنْ مَكَانِهِ الَّذِي يُصَلِّي فِيهِ الْفَجْرَ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ ثُمَّ يَقُومُ»
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I never saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) rise from the place where he had offered the Fajr prayer until the sun had risen; then he (peace and blessings be upon him) would rise.
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْعَبَّاسِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْفُرَاتِ، ثنا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ عَنْبَسَةَ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِجَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ: هَلْ كُنْتُمْ تَذْكُرُونَ الشِّعْرَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، «كُنَّا نَذْكُرُ عِنْدَهُ الْأَشْعَارَ فَنَضْحَكُ ويَبْتَسِمُ»
Simak bin Harb said: I asked Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him): "Did you people use to recite poetry in the presence of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)?" He said: "Yes, we used to recite poems in his (peace and blessings be upon him) presence; we would laugh and he (peace and blessings be upon him) would smile."
