حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا حَسَنُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: «مَا مَاتَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَتَّى صَلَّى قَاعِدًا»
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) did not pass away until he (peace and blessings be upon him) had offered prayer sitting.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ الْأَوْدِيُّ، ثنا حُمَيْدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، قَالَا: ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَا: ثنا حَسَنُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُ الْخَاتَمَ فِي ظَهْرِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلَ بَيْضَةِ الْحَمَامَةِ»
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I saw the seal (of prophethood) on the back of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); it was the size of a pigeon's egg.
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، قَالَا: ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، أَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، حَدَّثَنِي جَابِرُ بْنُ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: «صَلَّيْنَا عَلَى ابْنِ الدَّحْدَاحِ رَجُلٍ مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ، فَلَمَّا فَرَغْنَا مِنْهُ أَتَى رَجُلٌ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِفَرَسٍ حَصَانٍ فَرَكِبَهُ حِينَ رَجَعَ مِنَ الْجِنَازَةِ»
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: We offered the funeral prayer for Ibn al-Dahdah (may Allah be pleased with him), a Companion from the Ansar. When we had finished with it, a man brought a thoroughbred stallion to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), and he (peace and blessings be upon him) rode it on returning from the funeral.
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ كَرَامَةَ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ حَسَنِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي جَابِرُ بْنُ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ: «لَنْ يَزَالَ هَذَا الْأَمْرُ قَائِمًا يُقَاتِلُ عَلَيْهِ عِصَابَةٌ مِنَ الْمُسْلِمِينَ حَتَّى تَقُومَ السَّاعَةُ»
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "This matter (the religion) will always remain established; a group of the Muslims will keep fighting for its sake until the Hour is established."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ كَرَامَةَ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ حَسَنِ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: «لَمْ يَكُنْ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَخْطُبُ وَهُوَ جَالِسٌ إِلَّا وَهُوَ قَائِمٌ»
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) never delivered the sermon sitting; rather, he always delivered it standing.
