حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ يَعِيشَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، وَعَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، قَالَا: ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ نُمَيْرٍ، قَالَا: ثنا يُونُسُ بْنُ بُكَيْرٍ، عَنْ عَنْبَسَةَ بْنِ الْأَزْهَرِ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: «كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى شَعْرِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَجُمَّتِهِ يَضْرِبُ هَذَا الْمَكَانَ وَضَرَبَ بِيَدِهِ عَلَى صَدْرِهِ فَوْقَ ثَدْيَيْهِ»
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: It is as if I am still looking at the hair of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and his (peace and blessings be upon him) locks, that they reached this place; and he struck his hand on his chest, above his breasts, to show it.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا فَرْوَةُ بْنُ أَبِي الْمَغْرَاءِ، أَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ الْمُخْتَارِ، ثنا عَنْبَسَةُ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «بُعِثْتُ أَنَا وَالسَّاعَةُ كَهَاتَيْنِ، وَأَشَارَ بِإِصْبَعَيْهِ السَّبَّابَةِ وَالْوُسْطَى»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I and the Hour have been sent like this (close together)," and he (peace and blessings be upon him) pointed with his index finger and middle finger.
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو مَسْعُودٍ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْفُرَاتِ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، ثنا عَنْبَسَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: «كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُطِيلُ الصَّمْتَ فَيَتَحَدَّثُونَ بِأَمْرِ الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَيَضْحَكُونَ ويَبْتَسِمُ مَعَهُمْ»
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to remain silent a great deal; the Companions would talk about matters of the Days of Ignorance and laugh, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) would smile along with them.
