حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الْفِرْيَابِيُّ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، قَالَا: ثنا مَالِكُ بْنُ مِغْوَلٍ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: «خَرَجَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى جِنَازَةِ ابْنِ الدَّحْدَاحِ فَلَمَّا رَجَعَ أُتِيَ بِفَرَسٍ مُعْرَوْرًى فَرَكِبَهُ وَمَشَيْنَا»
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went out for the funeral of Ibn al-Dahdah (may Allah be pleased with him). When he was about to return, an unsaddled horse was brought; he (peace and blessings be upon him) rode it, and we walked.
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ثنا وَكِيعٌ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ مِغْوَلٍ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: «لَمَّا انْصَرَفَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِنْ جِنَازَةِ ابْنِ الدَّحْدَاحِ أُتِيَ بِفَرَسٍ مُعْرَوْرًى فَرَكِبَهُ وَنَحْنُ نَمْشِي حَوْلَهُ»
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) said: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was returning from the funeral of Ibn al-Dahdah (may Allah be pleased with him), an unsaddled horse was brought; he (peace and blessings be upon him) rode it, and we kept walking around him (peace and blessings be upon him).
