حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ، ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، ثنا زَائِدَةُ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَوْرٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: أَتَى رَجُلٌ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَنَا عِنْدَهُ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَتَطَهَّرُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ: «إِنْ شِئْتَ فَتَطَهَّرْ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَدَعْ» ، قَالَ: فَأُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ» ، قَالَ: أَفَأَتَطَهَّرُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ» ، قَالَ: أَفَأُصَلِّي فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ: «لَا»
Ja'far bin Abi Thawr narrates that Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) while I was with him (peace and blessings be upon him), and said: O Messenger of Allah, should I perform ablution after eating the meat of sheep? He said: "If you wish, perform ablution, and if you wish, do not." He said: Then may I pray in the pens of sheep? He said: "Yes." He said: Then should I perform ablution after eating the meat of camels? He said: "Yes." He said: Then may I pray in the resting places of camels? He said: "No."
حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ الْقَاضِي، ثنا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَوْرٍ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ أَنَّ رَجُلًا، قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ: «إِنْ شِئْتَ فَعَلْتَ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ لَمْ تَفْعَلْ» قَالَ: أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ» ، قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أُصَلِّي فِي مَبَاتِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ» ، قَالَ: أُصَلِّي فِي مَبَاتِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ: «لَا»
Ja'far bin Abi Thawr narrates from his grandfather, Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him), that a man said: O Messenger of Allah, should I perform ablution after eating the meat of sheep? He said: "If you wish, do so, and if you wish, do not." He said: Should I perform ablution after eating the meat of camels? He said: "Yes." He said: O Messenger of Allah, may I pray in the places where sheep spend the night? He said: "Yes." He said: May I pray in the places where camels spend the night? He said: "No."
حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ غَنَّامٍ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، قَالَا: ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَوْرٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَ رَجُلٌ لِلنَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: أَيُتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ: «إِنْ شِئْتَ فَتَوَضَّأْ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَلَا تَوَضَّأْ» ، قَالَ: فَأُصَلِّي فِي بَيْتِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ»
Ja'far bin Abi Thawr narrates that Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A man said to the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): Must ablution be performed after eating the meat of sheep? He said: "If you wish, perform ablution, and if you wish, do not." He said: Then may I pray in the pens of sheep? He said: "Yes."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ كَرَامَةَ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا حَسَنُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ أَبِي ثَوْرٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: مَرَّ رَجُلٌ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَقَالَ: أَتَطَهَّرُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «نَعَمْ» ، قَالَ: فَأُصَلِّي فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ؟ فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَا» ، قَالَ: أَفَأَتَطَهَّرُ عَنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ: «إِنْ شِئْتَ فَتَطَهَّرْ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَلَا تَطَهَّرْ» ، قَالَ: فَأُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ»
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: A man passed by the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) and said: Should I perform ablution after eating the meat of camels? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Yes." He said: Then may I pray in the resting places of camels? The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "No." He said: Then should I perform ablution after eating the meat of sheep? He said: "If you wish, perform ablution, and if you wish, do not." He said: Then may I pray in the pens of sheep? He said: "Yes."
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، ثنا الْجَرَّاحُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، ثنا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، ثنا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ سِمَاكِ بْنِ حَرْبٍ، وَأَشْعَثَ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَوْرٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ أَيُصَلَّى فِي أَعْطَانِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ: «لَا» ، قِيلَ: أَيُتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِهَا؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ» ، قَالَ: فَيُصَلَّى فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ» قِيلَ: يُتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِهَا؟ قَالَ: «لَا»
Ja'far bin Abi Thawr narrates that it is narrated from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him): The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked whether one may pray in the resting places of camels. He said: "No." It was said: Must ablution be performed after eating their meat? He said: "Yes." It was said: Then may one pray in the pens of sheep? He said: "Yes." It was said: Must ablution be performed after eating their meat? He said: "No."
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْأَشْيَبُ، ثنا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَوْرٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: «أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ، وَلَا نَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ وَأَنْ نُصَلِّيَ فِي دِبْنِ الْغَنَمِ، وَلَا نُصَلِّي فِي أَعْطَانِ الْإِبِلِ»
Ja'far bin Abi Thawr narrates from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered us to perform ablution after eating camel meat, and not to perform ablution after eating goat meat, and to pray in the pens of sheep and goats, and not to pray in the pens of camels."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْخُزَاعِيُّ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، ثنا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَوْرٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: «أَمَرَنَا رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نَتَوَضَّأَ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ، وَلَا نَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ، وَأَنْ نُصَلِّيَ فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ، وَلَا نُصَلِّي فِي أَعْطَانِ الْإِبِلِ»
Ja'far bin Abi Thawr narrates from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) ordered us to perform ablution after eating camel meat, and not to perform ablution after eating goat meat, and to pray in the pens of sheep and goats, and not to pray in the pens of camels."
حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا طَالِبُ بْنُ قُرَّةَ الْأَذَنِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى الطَّبَّاعُ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو حُصَيْنٍ الْقَاضِي، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، قَالُوا: ثنا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَوْرٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ جَالِسًا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَسُئِلَ: أَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ فَقَالَ: «نَعَمْ فَتَوَضَّئُوا مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ» ، فَقَالُوا: أَنُصَلِّي فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ: «لَا» ، قَالُوا: أَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ: «إِنْ شِئْتَ فَتَوَضَّأْ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَلَا تَوَضَّأْ» ، قَالُوا: أَنُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ»
Uthman bin Abdullah bin Mawhab narrates from Ja'far bin Abi Thawr, who narrates from Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: I was sitting with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when he (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: "Should we perform ablution after eating camel meat?" He said: "Yes, perform ablution after eating camel meat." They said: "Should we pray in the resting places of camels?" He said: "No." They said: "Should we perform ablution after eating goat meat?" He said: "If you wish, perform ablution, and if you wish, do not." They said: "Should we pray in the pens of sheep and goats?" He said: "Yes."
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ زُهَيْرٍ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ كَرَامَةَ، ثنا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ شَيْبَانَ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَوْرٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي جَدِّي جَابِرُ بْنُ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: كُنْتُ قَاعِدًا مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ أَنَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ: «إِنْ شِئْتَ فَتَوَضَّأْ وَإِنْ شِئْتَ فَلَا تَوَضَّأْ» ، قَالَ: أَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ» ، قَالَ: أُصَلِّي فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ؟ قَالَ: «لَا» ، قَالَ: أَفَأُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ؟ قَالَ: «نَعَمْ»

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْأُبُلِّيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا جَمِيلُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْعَتَكِيُّ، ثنا وَكِيعٌ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ الْأَسَدِيُّ، عَنْ جَعْفَرٍ السُّوَائِيُّ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ: «كُنَّا نُصَلِّي فِي مَرَابِضِ الْغَنَمِ، وَلَا نُصَلِّي فِي مَبَارِكِ الْإِبِلِ، وَكُنَّا نَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْإِبِلِ، وَلَا نَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْ لُحُومِ الْغَنَمِ»
Ja'far al-Suwa'i narrates from his grandfather, Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him): "We used to pray in the pens of sheep and goats and did not pray in the resting places of camels, and we used to perform ablution after eating camel meat and did not perform ablution after eating goat meat."
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرُ بْنُ مُوسَى، ثنا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُوسَى الْأَشْيَبُ، ثنا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ أَشْعَثَ بْنِ أَبِي الشَّعْثَاءِ، عَنْ جَعْفَرِ بْنِ أَبِي ثَوْرٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «يَأْمُرُنَا بِصِيَامِ عَاشُورَاءَ وَيَحُثُّنَا وَيَتَعَاهَدُنَا عِنْدَهُ، فَلَمَّا فُرِضَ رَمَضَانُ لَمْ يَأْمُرْنَا بِهِ وَلَمْ يَنْهَنَا عَنْهُ، وَلَمْ يَتَعَاهَدْنَا عِنْدَهُ»
Ja'far bin Abi Thawr narrates from Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) used to order us to fast on Ashura, urge us to do so and keep watch over us regarding it. Then, when Ramadan was made obligatory, he (peace and blessings be upon him) neither ordered us to do it nor forbade us from it, nor did he keep watch over us regarding it."
