Al-Hasan al-Basri (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates: I sat with Sayyiduna Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) during the governorship of Mus'ab, and he said: These people have taken to shedding one another's blood, have sworn alliances with one another over this world, and have begun to vie in raising tall buildings. I swear by Allah that very soon a time will come upon you when a strong camel, two ropes and a saddle will be more beloved to one of you than even the greatest of buildings. You know that I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Let not a palmful of a Muslim man's blood, shed unlawfully, come between any one of you and Paradise while he is looking at its gate. Listen! Whoever prays the Fajr prayer is under the protection of Allah, so let not Allah demand from you anything concerning His protection."

Adam (peace be upon him) said: Are you the Musa whom Allah chose for His message, spoke to, and brought near for intimate conversation? He said: Yes.
