Sayyiduna Jundub (may Allah be pleased with him) relates: A Bedouin came, made his mount kneel, then tied it, and then prayed behind the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him). When the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave the salam (to end the prayer), he went to his mount, untied its rope, then mounted it, and then called out: "O Allah, have mercy on me and on Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), and do not let anyone share in our mercy." So the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "What do you say? Is he more astray, or his camel? He has restricted a vast mercy. Indeed, Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, created one hundred mercies, then sent down one mercy from them, through which all creatures - jinn, humans and animals - show compassion to one another, and with Him remain ninety-nine mercies. Do you say that he is more astray, or his camel?"
