Abu Uthman al-Nahdi (may Allah have mercy on him) narrates: I was told that Sayyidah Umm Salamah (may Allah be pleased with her) was with the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) when Jibril (peace be upon him) came and talked (with him, peace and blessings be upon him) for as long as Allah willed. When he got up and left, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Umm Salamah, who was this?" She said: Dihyah. She said: By Allah, I thought he was none other than Dihyah, until I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) relating the news of Jibril (peace be upon him) in a sermon. Mu'tamir said: My father asked Abu Uthman: From whom did you hear this? He said: From Sayyiduna Usamah (may Allah be pleased with him).
