Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 9991 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: O young

حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْبَغْدَادِيُّ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي خَيْثَمَةَ، قَالَا: ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ خَلَفٍ الْعَطَّارُ، ثنا سَهْلُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ مُغِيرَةَ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «يَا مَعْشَرَ الشَّبَابِ، عَلَيْكُمْ بِالْبَاءَةِ؛ فَإِنَّهُ أَحْصَنُ لِلْفَرْجِ، وَأَغَضُّ لِلْبَصَرِ، فَمَنْ لَمْ يَقْدِرْ عَلَى ذَلِكَ فَعَلَيْهِ بِالصَّوْمِ؛ فَإِنَّهُ لَهُ وِجَاءٌ»

It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O young men, hold fast to marriage, for it lowers the gaze more and guards the private parts better. Whoever is not able to do so should fast, for it will be like castration for him (in curbing desire)."
