Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade that a man be named Harith, Walid, Hakam, Abu al-Hakam, Aflah, Najih or Yasar, and he said: "The names most beloved to Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, are those that express servitude (to Him)."
