Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: Before the Hijrah, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) went out to the outskirts of Makkah. He (peace and blessings be upon him) drew a line for me and said: "Do not do anything new until I come to you." Then he said: "Do not be alarmed or frightened by anything you see." He says: Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) went forward a little and sat down, and suddenly some dark-skinned men appeared, as though they were men of the Zutt. He says: They were just as Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, said: "They almost crowded upon him in layers" [Surah al-Jinn: 19]. I intended to stand up and defend him (peace and blessings be upon him) from them as much as I could, then I remembered the instruction of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him), so I stayed. Then they dispersed from around him (peace and blessings be upon him), and I heard them saying: "O Messenger of Allah! Our journey is far and we are departing, so give us provisions." He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "For you is the dung; whatever bone you come upon, there will be meat on it for you, and whatever dung you come upon will be dates for you." When they had left, I said: "Who were these?" He said: "These were the jinn of Nasibin."
