Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: On the Night of the Jinn the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) asked for water for ablution, and I said: "I have nothing but nabidh in a vessel." He said: "Wholesome dates and purifying water." Then he (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution with it.
