حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ وَاقِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ خَالِدٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، ثنا أَبِي، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ، قَالُوا: ثنا زُهَيْرٌ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ قَالَ: لَيْسَ أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ ذَكَرَهُ، وَلَكِنْ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ: كُنْتُ مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَقْضِيَ حَاجَتَهُ فَقَالَ: «ائْتِنِي بِثَلَاثَةِ أَحْجَارٍ» ، فَطَلَبْتُهَا فَأَصَبْتُ حَجَرَيْنِ، وَطَلَبْتُ حَجَرًا ثَالِثًا فَلَمْ أُصِبْهُ، فَأَصَبْتُ رَوْثَةً فَجِئْتُ بِهَا، فَقَالَ: «أَمَا عَلِمْتَ أَنَّهَا رِكْسٌ؟»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) says: I was with the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him). He (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to relieve himself, so he said: "Bring me three stones." I searched and found two stones; I searched for a third stone but did not find one, so I found a piece of dung and brought that. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Do you not know that this is filth?"
