حَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا يَحْيَى الْحِمَّانِيُّ، ثنا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، وَحَمَّادُ بْنُ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ زِرٍّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ: إِنَّ مُعَاذًا كَانَ أُمَّةً قَانِتًا لِلَّهِ، تَدْرُونَ مَا الْأُمَّةُ؟ يُعَلِّمُ النَّاسَ الْخَيْرَ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him): "Indeed, Mu'adh was an ummah, devoutly obedient to Allah. Do you know what the ummah is? One who teaches people good."
