Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 986 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ forbade a man

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ مُخَوَّلِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، عَنْ أَبِي رَافِعٍ، قَالَ: «نَهَى رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ يُصَلِّيَ الرَّجُلُ وَرَأْسُهُ مَعْقُوصٌ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Rafi' (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade a man from praying while his hair is tied up (in a knot).
