Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 9833 — the Messenger of Allah ﷺ gave a ruling

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الدَّبَرِيُّ، أنا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ، أنا الثَّوْرِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي قَيْسٍ، عَنْ هُزَيْلِ بْنِ شُرَحْبِيلَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَضَى فِي رَجُلٍ تَرَكَ ابْنَتَهُ وَابْنَةَ ابْنِهِ وَأُخْتَهُ، فَجَعَلَ لِلْبِنْتِ النِّصْفَ، وَلِابْنَةِ الِابْنِ السُّدُسَ، وَمَا بَقِيَ فَلِلْأُخْتِ.
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) gave a ruling concerning a man who left behind his daughter, his son's daughter and his sister: he assigned half to the daughter and a sixth to the son's daughter, and what remained went to the sister.
