Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 9688 — Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud said to me

Amr bin Shurahbil (Abu Maysarah al-Hamdani) narrated that Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said to me: "You are among the tribes of Kufah most likely to have one of you die leaving behind neither a paternal heir ('asabah) nor any relative. So in that case, what prevents him from spending his wealth on the poor or the needy?"
