حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، «أَنَّ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ كَانَ لَا يَرَى عَلَيْهِ حَدًّا، وَلَا عَقْرًا»
Al-Sha'bi narrated that Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) held that (in this case) he was liable neither to the prescribed punishment (hadd) nor to any compensation.
