Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 9646 — from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud that he said

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْكَنُودِ، قَالَ: قَالَ ابْنُ مَسْعُودٍ: «مَثَلُ الَّذِي يَعْتِقُ سَرِيَّتَهُ ثُمَّ يَنْكِحُهَا كَمَثَلِ الَّذِي أَهْدَى بَدَنَتَهُ، ثُمَّ رَكِبَهَا»
Abu al-Kanud narrates from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "The example of one who frees his concubine and then marries her is like that of one who dedicates his sacrificial camel and then rides it."
