حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ سَهْلٍ، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، ثنا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ بُكَيْرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الْأَشَجِّ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَلِيِّ بْنِ أَبِي رَافِعٍ حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّ أَبَا رَافِعٍ حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّهُ صَاحِبُ الذِّرَاعِ، قَالَ: قَالَ لِيَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ» فَنَاوَلْتُهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: «نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ» فَنَاوَلْتُهُ، ثُمَّ قَالَ: «نَاوِلْنِي الذِّرَاعَ» فَقُلْتُ: يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ، وَلِلشَّاةِ غَيْرُ ذِرَاعَيْنِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ: «لَوْ نَاوَلْتَنِي مَا زِلْتَ تُنَاوِلُنِي»
Sayyiduna Abu Rafi' (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the incident of the foreleg was his own. He said: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said to me: "Hand me the foreleg." I handed it to him. Then he said: "Hand me the foreleg." I handed it to him. Then he said: "Hand me the foreleg." I said: O Prophet of Allah! Does a goat have more than two forelegs? The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Had you kept handing them to me, you would have continued handing them to me."
