Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 9601 — I was present with Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud

Al-Nazzal bin Sabrah narrates: I was present with Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) when a man and a woman came to him over an issue of (declaring something) forbidden, and he said: "Allah has made (the ruling) clear. So whoever approaches the matter from its proper direction, (the ruling) has been made clear for him; and whoever goes against it, then by Allah! We do not have the strength to oppose you."
