Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 9529 — Sayyiduna Abdullah said: Fasting

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ، ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، ثنا زُهَيْرٌ، ثنا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ الْأَسْوَدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، وَعَلْقَمَةَ، وَمَسْرُوقٍ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ، قَالَ: «الصِّيَامُ مِنْ رُؤْيَةِ الْهِلَالِ إِلَى رُؤْيَتِهِ، فَإِنْ خَفِيَ عَلَيْكُمْ فَثَلَاثُونَ يَوْمًا»
Al-Aswad bin Yazid, Alqamah and Masruq said that Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Fasting is from the sighting of the crescent moon to (the next) sighting of it; if it is hidden from you, then (complete) thirty days."
