Ibrahim reports that al-Walid bin Uqbah entered the mosque while Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud, Sayyiduna Hudhayfah and Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with them) were in the courtyard of the mosque. Al-Walid said: The Eid has come; what should I do? Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "Say Allahu Akbar, praise Allah, extol Him, send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and supplicate to Allah; then say the takbir, praise Allah, extol Him, and send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him); then say the takbir, praise Allah, extol Him, send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and supplicate to Allah; then say the takbir, praise Allah, extol Him, send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and supplicate; then say the takbir and recite Surah al-Fatihah and a surah; then say the takbir, and bow and prostrate. Then stand and recite Surah al-Fatihah and a surah; then say the takbir, praise Allah, extol Him, send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and supplicate; then say the takbir, praise Allah, extol Him, send blessings upon the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), and bow and prostrate." The narrator said: Sayyiduna Hudhayfah and Sayyiduna Abu Musa (may Allah be pleased with them both) said: "You are right."
