Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 9452 — he said: A woman of the Children

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ، ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، ثنا زَائِدَةُ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: «كَانَتِ الْمَرْأَةُ مِنْ بَنِي إِسْرَائِيلَ تَلْبَسُ الْقَالَبَيْنِ فَتَقُومُ عَلَيْهِمَا، فَتُوَاعِدُ خَلِيلَهَا فَأُلْقِيَ عَلَيْهِنَّ الْحَيْضُ» ، وَكَانَ عَبْدُ اللهِ، يَقُولُ: «أَخِّرُوهُنَّ حَيْثُ أَخَّرَهُنَّ اللهُ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "A woman of the Children of Israel would wear two tall wooden clogs and stand on them (to increase her height), and make an appointment with her paramour; so menstruation was imposed upon them." And Sayyiduna Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) used to say: "Keep them back where Allah has kept them back."
