Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 9431 — he said: When Satan sees the son of Adam

حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنْ مَعْمَرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، أَنَّ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ، قَالَ: " إِذَا رَأَى الشَّيْطَانُ ابْنَ آدَمَ سَاجِدًا صَاحَ، وَقَالَ: يَا وَيْلَهُ، وَيْلٌ لِلشَّيْطَانِ، أَمَرَ اللهُ ابْنَ آدَمَ أَنْ يَسْجُدَ وَلَهُ الْجَنَّةُ فَأَطَاعَ، وَأَمَرَنِي أَنْ أسْجُدَ فَعَصَيْتُ وَلِيَ النَّارُ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) that he said: "When Satan sees the son of Adam prostrating, he cries out and says: 'Woe to him! Ruin is for Satan! Allah commanded the son of Adam to prostrate, and for him is Paradise, and he obeyed; and He commanded me to prostrate, and I disobeyed, and for me is the Fire.'"
