Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 9401 — al-Walid bin Uqbah sent (someone)

Abu Ishaq narrates that al-Walid bin Uqbah sent (someone) to Sayyiduna Hudhayfah and Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with them both) to ask them about the prayer on the day of Eid. Meanwhile the Fajr prayer was begun, so Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) stood behind a pillar and prayed two rak'ahs, then joined them (in the prayer).
