حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّزَّاقِ، عَنِ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، «أَنَّ ابْنَ مَسْعُودٍ صَلَّى بِهِمُ الْعِشَاءَ فَقَرَأَ بِأَرْبَعِينَ مِنَ الْأَنْفَالِ، ثُمَّ قَرَأَ فِي الثَّانِيَةِ بِسُورَةٍ مِنَ الْمُفَصَّلِ»
Abd al-Rahman bin Yazid narrates: Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) led them in the Isha prayer and recited forty verses of Surah al-Anfal, then in the second rak'ah he recited a surah from the Mufassal.
