Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 9018 — , regarding the saying of Allah Almighty

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَرْيَمَ، ثنا الْفِرْيَابِيُّ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، ثنا أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ فِي قَوْلِهِ: {لَقَدْ رَأَى مِنْ آيَاتِ رَبِّهِ الْكُبْرَى} [النجم: ١٨] ، قَالَ: «أَيْ جِبْرِيلُ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ فِي حُلَّةٍ، رَفْرَفَ قَدْ مَلَأَ مَا بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ، وَالْأَرْضِ»
Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said, regarding the saying of Allah Almighty: "He certainly saw of the greatest signs of his Lord" [Surah al-Najm: 18]: "That is, he saw Jibril (peace be upon him) in a garment of rafraf which had filled all that is between the heaven and the earth."
