حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ النَّضْرِ الْأَزْدِيُّ، ثنا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، ثنا زَائِدَةُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ أَبِي جُحَيْفَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: «ذَهَبَ صَفْوُ الدُّنْيَا فَلَمْ يَبْقَ إِلَّا الْكَدَرُ، فَالْمَوْتُ الْيَوْمَ تُحْفَةٌ لِكُلِّ مُسْلِمٍ»
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "The clear part of the world has gone and only the murky dregs remain; so in these times death is a gift for every Muslim."
