Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 8645 — Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud was teaching a man

Musa bin Yazid al-Kindi narrated: Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) was teaching a man the Qur'an, and the man recited 'innama al-sadaqatu lil-fuqara'i wal-masakin' without elongation (madd). Sayyiduna Ibn Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "This is not how the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) taught it to me. He (peace and blessings be upon him) taught it to me as 'innama al-sadaqatu lil-fuqara'i wal-masakin' with elongation (madd)."
