حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا أَبُو نُعَيْمٍ، ثنا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ أَبِي النَّجُودِ، عَنْ وَائِلِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: «عَدَلَتْ شَهَادَةُ الزُّورِ الشِّرْكَ بِاللهِ» ، وَقَرَأَ: {وَاجْتَنِبُوا قَوْلَ الزُّورِ} [الحج: ٣٠]
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) said: "False testimony is equal to associating partners with Allah," and he recited this verse: "And avoid false speech" [Surah al-Hajj: 30].
