حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، ثنا مُلَازِمُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو، ثنا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ بَدْرٍ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ طَلْقٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ: يَا نَبِيَّ اللهِ، مَا تَرَى فِي الصَّلَاةِ فِي الثَّوْبِ الْوَاحِدِ؟ «فَأَطْلَقَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِزَارَهُ، فَطَارَقَ رِدَاءَهُ، فَاشْتَمَلَ بِهِمَا وَصَلَّى بِنَا» ، فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ قَالَ: «أَكُلُّكُمْ يَجِدُ ثَوْبَيْنِ؟»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Talq bin Ali (may Allah be pleased with him) that a man said: O Prophet of Allah, what do you say about praying in a single garment? So the Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) undid his waist-wrapper, folded his upper sheet over it, then wrapped himself in both of them and led us in prayer. When he (peace and blessings be upon him) had completed his prayer, he said: "Does every one of you have two garments?"
