Tariq bin Ashyam al-Ashjai (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 8156 — from his father: I saw the Messenger
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، وَعَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ، وَالْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، وَمُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ، قَالُوا: ثنا أَبُو كَامِلٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ، ثنا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ قُدَامَةَ، ثنا سَعْدُ بْنُ طَارِقٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَطُوفُ حَوْلَ الْبَيْتِ، فَإِذَا ازْدَحَمَ النَّاسُ عَلَى الْحَجَرِ اسْتَلَمَهُ بِمِحْجَنٍ بِيَدِهِ»
Sa'd bin Tariq narrates from his father: "I saw the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performing tawaf around the House, and when the people crowded around the (Black) Stone, he (peace and blessings be upon him) would touch it with the crooked staff in his hand."
