Sayyiduna Ibn Zimil al-Juhani (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that when the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) prayed the Fajr prayer, he would say, with his leg folded: "Glory be to Allah and with His praise, and I seek forgiveness from Allah; indeed He is ever accepting of repentance," seventy times. Then he would say: "Seventy (in reward) equals seven hundred," "There is no good for the one whose sins in a single day are more than seven hundred." Then he would turn his face towards the people, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) liked dreams, so he would say: "Has any of you seen anything?" Ibn Zimil said: I said: I have, O Prophet of Allah. He (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "May it be good that you receive and evil that you are protected from, and may it be good for us and evil against our enemies; and all praise is for Allah, the Lord of the worlds. Relate your dream." I said: I saw all the people on a wide, smooth and clear road, and the people were travelling along that road. While they were in this state, that road led out onto a green meadow the like of which my eyes had never seen; it was flourishing, and its moisture was dripping from the various kinds of grass in it. And it is as if I see the first group: when they came near the meadow they said Allahu Akbar, then they rode their mounts along the road; some of them grazed and some took a handful of grass, and in this way they went on. Then the great mass of people came; when they came near the meadow they said Allahu Akbar and said: What an excellent halting place! And it is as if I see them veering right and left. When I saw this, I kept to the road until I reached the farthest edge of the meadow, and there, O Messenger of Allah, I saw you seated on a pulpit that had seven steps, and you were on the highest step. To your right was a man of brown complexion, with curly hair and a high-bridged nose; when he spoke he raised his voice and stood above the men in height. To your left was a stout man of medium height, of reddish complexion, with many moles on his face, as if his hair had been darkened with water; when he spoke you listened to him with respect. In front of you was an elderly man who, of all people, most resembled you in form and face; all of you were turning towards him. In front of him was an emaciated, aged she-camel, and you, O Messenger of Allah, seemed to be guarding yourself against it. The narrator said: At this the colour of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) changed for a while, then it cleared, and he (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "As for the smooth, wide and clear road that you saw, that is the guidance upon which you have been set, and you are upon it. As for the meadow that you saw, it is the world and the essence of its life; I and my companions passed through it, we did not attach ourselves to anything of it; we did not want it and it did not want us. Then the second group came after us, and they were many times more than us; some of them grazed and some took a handful, and in this way they went on. Then the great mass of people came, and they veered right and left in the meadow; Inna lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un (We belong to Allah and to Him we return). As for you, you went along a righteous path and remained upon it, until you will meet me. As for the pulpit that you saw with seven steps, with me on the highest step, the world is seven thousand years and I am in its last thousand. As for the man you saw on my right, of brown complexion and curly hair, that is Musa (peace be upon him); when he speaks he stands above people because of the excellence that Allah has given him. And the one you saw on my left, stout, of medium height, with many moles on his face, as if his hair had been darkened with water, that is Isa bin Maryam (peace be upon him); we honour him because of the honour Allah has given him. And the elderly man you saw who most resembled me in form and face, that is our father Ibrahim (peace be upon him); all of us turn towards him and follow him. And the she-camel that you saw, and saw me guarding myself against it, that is the Hour, which is to be established upon us; there is no prophet after me and no nation after my nation." The narrator said: After that, the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) never asked anyone about a dream, unless a man came and related his dream of his own accord.
