Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) sent me to the tribe of Bahilah. I came to them while they were eating; they welcomed me, honoured me and said: Come and eat. I said: I have come to forbid you this food, and I am the messenger of the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him); I have come to you so that you may believe in him. But they belied me and scolded me, so I set off from there hungry and thirsty, in a state of severe hardship. Then I slept, and in my dream I was given a draught of milk; I drank, was quenched, and my belly swelled. Then the people said: A man from the best and noblest of you came to you and you turned him away; go to him and give him whatever food and drink he desires. So they brought me food, and I said: "I have no need of your food and drink; Allah has fed me and given me to drink." Now look at my condition. They looked, and believed in me and in the message I had brought from the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him).
