Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 8046 — the Prophet ﷺ said: Whoever washes

حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سَهْلِ بْنِ أَيُّوبَ الْأَهْوَازِيُّ، ثنا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ الْحَذَّاءُ، ثنا سُلَيْمُ بْنُ أَخْضَرَ، ثنا سُعَيْرُ بْنُ الْخِمْسِ، عَنْ أَبِي غَالِبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ: «مَنْ غَسَّلَ مَيِّتًا، فَسَتَرَهُ سَتَرَهُ اللهُ مِنَ الذُّنُوبِ، وَمَنْ كَفَّنَهُ كَسَاهُ اللهُ مِنَ السُّنْدُسِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever washes a deceased person and conceals his faults, Allah will conceal him from sins; and whoever shrouds him, Allah will clothe him with the silk of Paradise."
