حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، وَأَبُو مُسْلِمٍ الْكَشِّيُّ قَالَا: ثنا حَجَّاجُ بْنُ الْمِنْهَالِ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُسْلِمٍ، ثنا أَبُو عُمَرَ الضَّرِيرُ، قَالَا: ثنا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ سُمَيْعٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ «أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ، تَوَضَّأَ فَغَسَلَ كَفَّيْهِ ثَلَاثًا، وَمَضْمَضَ ثَلَاثًا، وَاسْتَنْشَقَ ثَلَاثًا، وَغَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ثَلَاثًا وَذِرَاعَيْهِ ثَلَاثًا ثَلَاثًا» وَاللَّفْظُ لِحَدِيثِ أَبِي عُمَرَ "
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) performed ablution: he washed his palms three times, rinsed his mouth three times, sniffed water into his nose three times, and washed his face three times and both his forearms three times each.
