Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 7683 — the Prophet ﷺ said: I saw the pillar

حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ الْبَاقِي الْمِصِّيصِيُّ، ثنا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الْحِمْصِيُّ، ثنا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ مُسْلِمٍ، عَنْ عُفَيْرِ بْنِ مَعْدَانَ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ سُلَيْمَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ، يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمْ قَالَ: «رَأَيْتُ عَمُودَ الْكِتَابِ انْتُزِعَ مِنْ تَحْتِ وِسَادَتِي، فَأَتْبَعْتُهُ بَصَرِي، فَإِذَا هُوَ نُورٌ سَاطِعٌ حَتَّى ظَنَنْتُ أَنَّهُ قَدْ هَوَى بِهِ، فَعُمِدَ بِهِ إِلَى الشَّامِ، وَإِنِّي أَوَّلْتُ أَنَّ الْفِتَنَ إِذَا وَقَعَتْ أَنَّ الْإِيمَانَ بِالشَّامِ»
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "I saw the pillar of the Book (the Qur'an) being pulled out from under my pillow, so I followed it with my eyes, and it was a radiant light, until I thought it had fallen; then it was taken towards al-Sham. I interpreted this to mean that when trials (fitan) occur, faith will be in al-Sham."
