Shahr bin Hawshab from Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him)
Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 7543 — A man from the People of the Suffah died
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ جَمِيلٍ الْأَصْبَهَانِيُّ، ثنا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، ثنا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، ثنا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ شَهْرِ بْنِ حَوْشَبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ: تُوُفِّيَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ أَهْلِ الصُّفَّةِ، فَوُجِدَ فِي مِئْزَرِهِ دِينَارٌ، فَقَالَ نَبِيُّ اللهِ صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمْ: «كَيَّةٌ» ، ثُمَّ تُوُفِّيَ آخَرُ، فَوُجِدَ فِي مِئْزَرِهِ دِينَارَانِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمْ: «كَيَّتَانِ»
Sayyiduna Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man from the People of the Suffah died, and one dinar was found in his waist-wrapper. The Prophet of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "One brand." Then another man died, and two dinars were found in his waist-wrapper. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Two brands."
