Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 7403 — I gave the Messenger of Allah ﷺ as a gift

Sayyiduna al-Sa'b bin Jaththamah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I gave the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) as a gift a wild donkey which I had hunted at Waddan, and I gave this gift to him (peace and blessings be upon him) at al-Abwa'. The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) returned it to me, and when he (peace and blessings be upon him) saw on my face how hard it was for me, he said: "We have not returned it to you out of dislike for it; rather, we are in the state of ihram."
