حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ رِشْدِينَ الْمِصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ رِشْدِينَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ مَنْصُورِ بْنِ أَبِي مَنْصُورٍ، حَدَّثَهُ أَنَّ صُحَارَ بْنَ صَخْرٍ الْعَبْدِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ، أنَّهُ قَالَ لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمْ: إِنَّا بِأَرْضٍ كَثِيرَةٌ أَخْبَازُهَا وَبُقُولُهَا، وَنَشْرَبُ النَّبِيذَ عَلَى ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمْ: «اشْرَبُوا مِنْهُ مَا لَا يُذْهِبُ الْعَقْلَ وَالْمَالَ»
Sayyiduna Suhar bin Sakhr al-Abdi (may Allah be pleased with him) said to the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him): We live in a land where bread and vegetables are plentiful, and we drink nabidh with them. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Drink of it what does not take away the mind and wealth."
