Mu'jam Kabir Tabarani 7373 — I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say

حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، ثنا مُسَدَّدٌ إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، ح وحَدَّثَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ التُّسْتَرِيُّ، ثنا وهْبُ بْنُ بَقِيَّةَ، أَنَا خَالِدٌ، كِلَاهُمَا، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْجُرَيْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلَاءِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ صُحَارٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صَلَّى الله عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمْ يَقُولُ: «لَا تَقُومُ السَّاعَةُ حَتَّى يُخْسَفَ بِقَبَائِلَ حَتَّى يُقَالَ مَنْ بَقِيَ مِنْ بَنِي فُلَانٍ» فَعَرَفْتُ أَنَّهُ يَعْنِي الْعَرَبَ، لِأَنَّ الْعَجَمَ لَيْسَتْ لَهَا قَبَائِلُ
It is narrated from Sayyiduna Suhar (may Allah be pleased with him), who said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "The Hour will not be established until several tribes are swallowed up by the earth, until it is said: Who remains of such-and-such a tribe?" I understood that he (peace and blessings be upon him) meant the Arabs, because the non-Arabs ('Ajam) do not have tribes.
